We are a family-owned, Michigan based company with over 45 years experience in the construction industry. We invented and patented our product, Gutter Flow System, to solve a problem that we saw time and time again. Traditional guards often create more problems than they solve and fail to live up to their promises. That’s why Dave designed Gutter Flow System to function as a year-round DRAIN inside your gutter. We’re proud to support our community by partnering with a local manufacturer and provide a solution that truly works.
If you’re exploring gutter protection options, you likely already understand the costly and devastating damage overflowing gutters can cause. The primary purpose of gutter protection is to keep your gutters functioning.
When gutters aren’t working properly, water saturates the ground around your foundation, damaging landscaping and, more importantly, creating a serious risk for foundation cracks and wet basements. This happens when the saturated ground freezes and pushes against your foundation. In fact, this is the leading cause of foundation damage and wet basements.
Clogged gutters also create a breeding ground for mosquitoes and vegetation while becoming heavy enough to pull away from your house, causing further damage. Traditional screens and covers only add to the problem by acting like a lid, causing water to skim over the top instead of flowing through. They trap wet leaves at the roofline, leading to rotten fascia, ice buildup, roof leaks, mold, and more.
Gutter Flow System is your affordable, long-term solution to these problems, keeping your gutters flowing year-round without the complications of over-the-top screens or covers.
The advanced technology behind our patented revolutionary interlocking system, creates and maintains an open channel within your gutter – a critical feature for optimal functionality. This open airway is essential, allowing water to flow freely and preventing clogs.
Each sturdy 4-foot aluminum piece interlocks seamlessly with the next to form a continuous, clog-free pathway. These pieces are designed with rectangular air inlets and vertical water tines along the sides, maximizing airflow within the channel. This open airway creates a gravitational pull that guides water through the gutter and downspout with obstruction.
Even with debris on top, our innovative system ensures water is pulled through any debris and into the open air pathway, keeping your gutters flowing. In short, even if your gutter isn’t spotless, Gutter Flow System will still work!
Great question! We’ve all been conditioned to believe that the gutters won’t work if there’s anything in them – and with other gutter protection products, that’s often true. However, our pioneering and revolutionary Gutter Flow System has proven that theory to be wrong.
With Gutter Flow System it’s perfectly fine to have debris in your gutter. Our aluminum insert sits inside the gutter and uses the natural science of gravitational pull to force water through debris and into the open, clog-free channel. This ensures water flows freely and protects your downspout.
If you choose to leave debris on top of the Gutter Flow System for multiple seasons, a couple of things may happen. The debris will either dry up and blow off with the wind or start to decompose into microparticles that wash through the system. But no matter what, the open channel will remain clear, keeping your gutters functioning as they are meant to.
Where the air goes, the water flows!
Absolutely! Gutter Flow System is designed to combat ice buildup and damage it causes. The black aluminum of our system helps warm the air inside the open channel, creating a temperature difference that rises and melts a line of ice on each side of the gutter. This allows for quick drainage as snow and ice melt off your roof.
As the ice and snow melt, Gutter Flow System ensures it has a clear path to flow through, preventing buildup. Unlike over-the-top guards that trap snow and ice at the roofline, contributing to ice dams, our system prevents this issue. Traditional screens and covers can cause ice to climb under shingles, leading to roof leaks, or over the edge, creating dangerous icicles that drip onto sidewalks.
Ice damming can be devastating to your home, but Gutter Flow system combats it where other systems only make it worse.
NOT at all! Gutter Flow System is DIY-friendly and offers a great ROI, expecially because of the easy, fast installation from just one ladder location. The hardest part is cleaning the gutters. Once that’s done, installation is quick-simply loosen a bracket, if necessary, slide in the first 4-foot section, interlock the next piece, slide it down, and repeat.
For new gutters, installation is even easier. You drop the Gutter Flow System into new gutters right from the ground before hanging them on the home.
Our installation process is safer than other gutter guards because you don’t have to move the ladder every 4-5 feet. You can install the entire system from a single ladder location, reducing the need to climb up and down multiple times. This not only makes the process safer, but also much more efficient, saving you time and effort.

Short answer is usually. Thanks to its self-cleaning design, most homeowners will never have to touch their gutters again. We guarantee your gutters will function clog-free when we install Gutter Flow System.
In most conditions, Gutter Flow System is truly a self-cleaning system. The heat from the black aluminum and open-air channel quickly dry out debris, allowing wind to blow it away or it crumbles and washes through the system.
For extreme conditions, such as homes with an abundance of large trees, little or no sun exposure, or inside corners with steep-pitched roofs and valleys, debris may compost on top of the system. But no need to worry — Gutter Flow System will still allow your gutters to handle heavy rains. Water will perc through any debris and flow through the open channel, keeping your gutters functioning as intended.
To give you extra peace of mind, we offer a free efficiency demo (in the greater Lansing area) within the first two years upon request. This allows us to sho you how well Gutter Flow System is still working in your gutters, with your leaves, at your home.
No. If you do choose to clean out your gutters, simply wait for dry weather and blow the debris off the top with a leaf blower. Keep in mind, this is completely optional. Your gutters will continue to function even with some leaves on top, as the open channel will maintain a drain within your gutters.
Sure will! There are no tiny screen holes for pine needles to get stuck in or clog. Take a look at our video, “Same Day. Same Rain. Same House.” In the video, you’ll notice the very large pine trees right next to the house. The back gutter, equipped with Gutter Flow system (installed four years prior), works flawlessly – even with pine needles. .
No. Unlike many other gutter protection products, Gutter Flow System does not alter or interrupt the integrity of your home, roof system or gutters. Gutter Flow System fits securely in the inside of your gutter with no screws or attachments to the gutter or roof.
